Meet The Artists and Songwriters of Volume 704   ...

Gary & Carol Bibb, “Holding On To Jesus” & “Breath Of Life”
Born and raised in Missouri, husband & wife Gary & Carol Bibb write and sing songs about life issues, hope, and love as an expression of how they live their lives in relationship with people and each other. Thanks to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for the words, melody and music to our songs.

“Holding On To Jesus“
We want to personally thank all of the DJ’s for playing our songs and all of the listeners for their support in our music. A special thanks to Andrew and Terri Dean for all of their guidance and most of all the family oriented atmosphere that they provide in our working relationship.
This is a song of assurance that Jesus is always there to accept you with open arms if you will heed to His voice and accept Him as your personal Lord and Savior. He didn’t promise that we would not go through trials and tribulations as Christians, but would stand beside us and never leave us or forsake us. For the hopeless there is hope. For the broken hearts there is healing. For the lost there is His wonderful salvation. We are holding on to Jesus all the way.

“Breath Of Life”
As you look upon a Christmas Tree, with spiritual eyes there stands a cross where Jesus hung and died for our sins. From the weight of our sins, needles fell and a crown of thorns were placed on His head. Beautiful ornaments on the tree represent people all over the world who shine with the love of Jesus, and we are the branches clings to the vine, which gives us our hope, peace and assurance of our salvation. Lights shining in the dark are joined together as we celebrate “Jesus is the Reason for the Season”. A gift for everyone to have. Receive your gift, “eternal life”. As long as I have a “Breath of Life” I want to share “Christmas With You”, because “Jesus Loves You”.

Tony Malone, "Shake The Dust"
The Malone's ministry has a grassroots touch. They believe in reaching out to people on a personal basis at whatever level is needed. Country gospel music, humor, spoken word, and testimonies shared are some of the ways the Malone's reach out to those God would send. No audience is too large or too small for them. They are willing to step outside the norm of the church setting to minister. They play fairs, festivals, parking-lots, truck shows, auditoriums, etc., as well as churches, revivals, children's church, nursing homes, etc. They are just as happy to sing in truck stops as they are the church next door. When God provides a door, they are excited to jump through it!
The Malone's minister in many different ways. Rev. Tony has pastored, preached, evangelized, been a home missionary, church starter, hospital chaplain, Sunday school teacher, club minister, as well as published, songwriter, humorist, story-teller, singer, musician, radio DJ and TV personality, poet, and straight man for his wife Lelia's humor. He is expert at bringing variety to any concert setting, according to the need.  Lelia shares testimony, sings and generally brightens up the place with her personality and down-home humor. Her comedy antics bring a smile to the face of most anyone, of any age. She is also keeper of the "kids". Cassidy our frog, and Moo-Ann our cow that thinks she's a frog. The kids make their appearances during the show, but are starting to want more time because they are requested so often...However, Grandpappy is still #1 in the hearts of our fans!
You can't just watch a Malone's concert, you have to experience one. It's a smile, a belly laugh, a tear, a touch, a thought, a conviction...all brought with a prayer of leading through the Holy Spirit for God to anoint them for His use. Their mission statement and dearest prayer is for ALL to come
to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. They long to see lives touched and hearts mended by the Holy Spirit's touch, They pray that all who attend a concert will be richly blessed and leave with a refreshed and renewed spirit in the Lord. Come as you are to their concerts and feel welcomed! The greatest thrill that God could bestow on this family is to touch yours.

A BRIGHT LIGHT  -GAIL RUSSELL
Songwriter Glen Erickson

GAIL RUSSELL –New Zealand

Following the success of her debut album "I’m Just A  Country Girl At Heart" and achieving very good Results on World Indie Charts in 2006 Gail has now started recording her second album which she hopes to release next year sometime. She considers herself to be very fortunate to have been given the opportunity to record some of American Songwriter Glen Erickson’s songs, and the first "A BRIGHT LIGHT" is a song which she says she has really enjoyed recording as she loves to sing with feelings and this song has allowed her to do just that. Gail continues to perform her own original songs on a regular basis at Country Music Clubs around Wellington and is often asked to appear as a guest artist on Country Music Shows here in New Zealand. Gail still enjoys competing in Country Music Awards and spends a lot of her time arranging shows for visiting overseas and local  artists and helping local country singers who value her expertise . Gail works part time as an Occupational Therapist and utilises her music skills by running a music group for the mentally ill at the hospital where she works. Gail is a quiet person who sets out to work hard and has had great satisfaction from the results she has achieved from her music especially with her own original songs.

Gail would like to thank all the very special DJ’S who have played her songs over the past year and also Nite Sky Records who have helped to promote her.

Kama Linden is a fireball of energy, passion, and versatility. This gutsy lyricist catches you (and catches you off guard) with her edgy lyrics and voice (as in her first Hot AC single, WAITING), lulls you in with SMOOTH vocals (Crossed Over), and has you grooving with sultry sounds that are undeniably her own (Uninhibited, Bitter Lemon),  which when performed live, have  gathered many a crowd at various festivals (Halstead St. Market Days, Si Ferry Festival, The Rose Festival). She is currently touring the country in support of her latest release, UNINHIBITED 2006: a mix of POP/Rock and some urban/dance mixes which keeps the listener both interested and entertained. Whether it be an acoustic show, dance remixes at a club or street fair (and boy can she dance) or full band, She’s sure to knock ‘em dead for she holds nothing back!

Her songs are dominating and sexy, and so is Kama. This is one artist you want to watch for…or watch out for!

Jordyn Shellhart, "Love Can"
At a mere 13 years of age, Jordyn Shellhart has an amazing ability to capture any audience she performs in front of. With the voice of an angel and a personality to match it, there is no doubt that the young singer will have much success in her career.

Jordyn has lived in Santa Rosa, California most of her life, up until she was 11 years old. While living in California, Jordyn was able to perform all over the state, including singing the National Anthem at a San Francisco Giants baseball game and two San Francisco 49'ers games, which was definitely an amazing experience for her. She has been in the studio off and on since she was 9 years old. She also appeared in The Jenkins video for "Blame it on Mama" which you could catch playing on CMT and GAC. In March of 2005, Jordyn and her mom and brother left their home in California and headed East to Nashville, Tennessee. As soon as they settled down, they knew that Nashville truly was the place to be for Jordyn's career. One of the major connections occurred when Jordyn was performing at a benefit concert for the non-profit organization BrightStone, where she was fortunate enough to meet entertainment attorney Ansel Davis. He has since added her to his roster of clients, which include Keith Urban, Ronnie Dunn, Neil Diamond and Jason Michael Carroll, to name a few. Jordyn is currently learning guitar from the amazing Gary Talley, original Box-Top member, and is quickly developing a passion for that as well as singing and songwriting.
Keep your eyes and ears open for this up-and-coming talent! She's taking Nashville by storm =]

Randy Lawrence

Randy moved to Nashville in 2007 and has already made an impact on the town.  “Love Can” is one of several co-writes that he and Fran MacLeran have worked on.  Randy’s song titled “Brown Sugar Eyes”, recorded by Dave Scarboro, received a lot of airplay.  Randy is a wordsmith that many Nashville writers are scheduling appointments to work with.

Ron Thompson is a retired Electrical/Electronics Engineer. He plays piano, lead guitar, rhythm guitar, harmonica, bass guitar, and electronic keyboard. He writes his own music having copyrighted around 150 + songs, both gospel and country genre. Ron served as the regular pianist in three different churches during the past several years. Some of his earliest memories are of his dad singing over WLAR radio station in a quartet live each Sunday morning.

He has released songs on several different labels during the past couple of years with several songs charting in the top 100 of different genres. One of his most recent charting songs was during Christmas 2006 with "Momma's Christmas Tree" charting nationally in the U. S. and internationally in Top 40 ECMA mostplays chart. The song charted in the top 10 for three weeks in Australia and peaked at #5.  Another recent charting song was "Tennessee Mountain Boy" which charted top 40 a couple of months in the U. S. and also #31 on a recent ECMA most plays chart.

I just listened all the way through volume 704.  There are a lot of good songs on it.  It ranks high among the various compilation cds I've heard over the past few years from multiple labels.  Andrew did his usual excellent job of singing, becoming more professional in each new song that I've listened to.  Kimberly & Larry Marrs on track 1 are as good as anyone in mainstream country and better than the majority of them.

I think that all of the songs are good but I especially like track 7 "Holding On To Jesus" and track 9 "Breath Of Life" by Gary & Carol Bibb.  In my opinion, track 9 is a special song that I would rate as a top hit.  The more I listen to the song, the better I like it and I liked it from the first time I heard.  It's a great job of songwriting and performance. If this compilation gets a fair listen by djs it should get a lot of airplay.
