ANDREW DEAN - A NEW HORIZON - NITE SKY RECORDS
This is Andrew's collection of country Gospel and inspirational songs in a contemporary country style, plus 2 in a bluegrass styling. This recording was recorded at the same sessions as the next Cd in the same studios and with all the same musicians. Andrew writes one song for this CD and arranges 2 others, Rhonnie Scheuerman/Jim Harmon write one other and the remaining 6 songs are written by Mark Kreis and Steven Kreis. Another fine collection and both Cds make for enjoyable listening. Check out www.nitesky.us for contact details by e-mail plus some sound bites.
SONGS: -What have I found/I know who holds tomorrow / Grandma's piano bench / I'll be gone/As great as He wants me to be / Sow that seed for Jesus / We're just chips off the old rock / He's everything / Softly & tenderly.

ANDREW DEAN and the Farm Machine - THE HARVEST - NITE SKY RECORDS
Here's a secular new release from Andrew Dean from Ohio who has been recording since 1998 and this is his 9th release on CD. 8 original songs, plus one co- write with Donald Harlan and one song from Rhonnie Scheuerman / Terrance Allan makes this 10 song - 33 minutes CD a pleasure to listen to. Money Tree and Robbing Peter To Pay Pauline are fast paced fiddle and steel fun songs. He also includes the tearjerkers Tear Stained Paper and In My Memory, plus a few patriotic songs In A Mother's Eyes and Lonely Soldier, which I would also class as tearjerkers. The Farm Machine is his band/session player on these recordings making their contribution count on every note.
OTHER SONGS: -She's really gone/Baby's gotta boogie/Fixin to go home/out of my mind

"The Harvest" and "A New Horizon"
Here we have two great releases from this very talented artist Andrew Dean from the USA the first album "The Harvest" has ten songs, eight penned by Andrew with another co-written with Donald D Harlan, the tenth is written by the very talented Rhonnie Scheuerman and Terrance Allan.
"Robbing Peter To Pay Pauline" which is one of my stand-outs here, engineered by Robert T Brown, Bob Dunlap, Bob Lash and Larry Marrs, produced by Andrew Dean and recorded at Brownwood Studio & TSM Studio Gibsonburg, Ohio, Marrs Studio Nashville Tennessee. Other standouts on "The Harvest" track (1) "Money Tree", track (2) "Tear Stained Paper" and track (8) "In My Memory".
The second album, "A New Horizon" is all gospel with track (1) "What I Have Found" being the only track out of 10 penned by Andrew Dean. Andrew has included Will L. Thompson's  "Softly And Tenderly" on the album and does a great version of it, as he does with Ira Stamphill's "I Know Who Holds Tomorrow". Mark A. Kreis and Steven C. Kreis have each written three with Rhonnie Scheuerman & Jim Harman making up the tenth. All tracks are great but I really like track (4) Steven C. Kreis song "I'll Be Gone", a real bluegrass gospel song, well mixed and produced.
So here we have two great albums to add to your CD collection with hours of entertainment from Andrew Dean. Well Done. Through Night Sky Records "The Harvest" CD NSR-AD-2003 "A New Horizon" CD-NSR-AD-2003-G

Nancy and I were totally blessed to have Mr. Andrew Dean at the Grandparents Day Gospel Sing in Ashland, KY. Wow, what a talent! From the moment Andrew and Terri walked into the mall, they were as professional as anyone we've ever met. It was a great pleasure to meet someone that dedicated. Andrew sounded great and the people loved him. I am a fan, a friend and a promoter of Andrew Dean!

Today I went to soundclick and listened to Andrew Deans song "I'll Be Gone". "Now here is a tremendous talented artist!" I am an avid music listener from way back who loves many different types of music. I have enjoyed listening to other songs of Andrew Dean's in the past and have commented on his voice and style,..... He has a way of bringing life to his songs and I can feel his emotion through his songs and that terrific. I have to admit I was a surprised but at the same time not to hear "I'll Be Gone" another great song by Andrew Dean. Very Bluegrass indeed...... but yes I enjoyed it very much.....found myself tapping my feet, ready to dance......loved the banjo's and all around Bluegrass feel. Better watch this guy DJ's, a good sign of a great artist is they can sing most any genre of music and Andrew Dean is trully one of those great artists! The best of luck Andrew Dean on this new hit.....it's trully great!!! Thanks for the invitation to go listen in. Loved it!!!

First, fun stuff! I could sort of see Jethro and the rest of the Beverly Hillbillies bouncing down the road.
Second, fine musicianship. The banjo and the fiddle are really solid. Good stuff. The harmony work is well done and quite appropriate. Thirdly, the song's sentiment - old time gospel, I guess you'd call it - appeals to me. A nice light song with a whimsical but sincere feeling.

Andrew Dean, from Ohio, probably had ancestors who sang a version of June Tabor's ballads, but his style of country is one we all recognize today. A multi-talented artiste, he sings, writes, and plays guitar, bass, piano, drums and sousaphone. Dean is a committed Christian and has released two albums on the Nite Sky label, one spiritual and one secular.
On "The Harvest", the secular album, Andrew has his name on nine of the ten compositions, including the foot-tapping "Money Tree", the tender "In A Mother's Eyes" (so telling with the situation in Iraq), and the heart ballad Tear Stained Paper. The one song Dean had no hand in, Rhonnie Scheuerman's "Robbing Peter To Pay Pauline", is a great yee haaaa stomper.
"New Horizon", the spiritual album, contains a great mix of new and old Gospel songs.
Again Dean puts his fine vocals to good effect on the bluegrass influenced "I'll Be Gone", the tender "He's Everything" and one of my all-time favourites, "Softly and Tenderly".
